Brixham Community Partnership will be holding a public meeting will be held at Brixham Rugby Club on Tuesday 3 February 2026, from 7 to 9pm, click here for the information poster. If you have room, please could you display this. Thank you. We have two speakers on the evening:

Speaker: Mick Harrison is one of two Devon and Cornwall Police Cyber Protect Officers. His role involves talking to businesses, charities and community groups about Cyber Security, raising general awareness concerning phishing emails, bogus websites and telephone scams etc, and promoting the many preventative measures that are available to individuals and organisations, to help protect them from becoming a victim of Cyber Crime. There will be a Q&A session on the evening which will allow him to listen to, and better understand, your concerns around these ever-changing threats.

Speaker: Steph Good, Neighbourhood Watch Community Project Manager, Devon and Cornwall. Neighbourhood Watch is being ‘relaunched’ with more of a community focus. On a local level, Neighbourhood Watch groups are run within communities by local volunteer Coordinators. Local Neighbourhood Watch schemes work in a variety of ways that reflect the needs of the local community. These include sharing crime prevention advice and information, running awareness campaigns, holding social events and awards for local people and businesses, leading community projects such as litterpicks, a community café, flood defence response, presentations in schools and work with young people and children, and community messaging with the police.
